As the Christmas party season begins and festive cheer leads to festive beers, we partnered with Trainline, supported by the Government road safety campaign THINK!, to encourage partygoers to plan ahead and ‘hop on a train’ rather than getting behind the wheel after having an alcoholic drink.
We worked with Trainline to design a series of OOH billboards around the UK, including regions where Department for Transport data shows a higher rate of alcohol-related casualties*, including the East Midlands (7%) and Wales (7.3%).
This was amplified with an earned media campaign, which combined imagery with consumer research and data from Trainline and Think! to create a newsworthy story that highlights the benefits of planning travel in advance this festive season.
