Vodafone is on a mission to make the internet safe by design for young people.

Online scams are on the up. This Safer Internet Day we worked with Vodafone to conduct a large-scale study into the emotional impact of online scams on young victims, discovering that nearly one million young people were scammed online last year.

Gaining valuable insights from young people, parents and teachers, we learned that scams cause anxiety, stress, withdrawal and people don’t always know where to turn for help. Working with NSPCC and online harm expert, Catherine Knibbs, we demonstrated the emotional toll on young minds and is supporting a call for change.

Almost 200 pieces of coverage later, the campaign is just getting started, with our team of experts hosting Vodafone’s ‘Phish ‘N’ Tips’ shop next week, where families can drop in for online safety advice, with a side of the nation’s staple dish, fish and chips.
