TIN MAN SHORTLISTED FOR 6 GONGS AT PR WEEK AWARDS 2020

News has just reached us that we have been nominated in no fewer than six categories at this year’s PR Week Awards and we are feeling giddy with excitement.

Tin Man is proud to be shortlisted for:

  • Small Consultancy of the Year

  • Best Use of ContentMarketing Communications Campaign of the Year (Automotive/Transport) and Marketing Communications Campaign of the Year (Travel, Leisure, Lifestyle and Hospitality) for megabus “Keeping Long Distance Love Alive”. The campaign saw us launch a ‘Sweetheart Saver’ ticket offering free travel between two destinations for a year to long distance, loved up couples, brought to life with a cinematic short film following real-life couple Jonny and Sofie.

  • Best Use of PlanningStrategy and Evaluation and Public Sector Campaign of the Year for Institution of Engineering and Technology for “Life On Mars” which saw us team up with The Beano asking young people to engineer their favourite item suitable for space – and then actually sending the winning design (a clarinet!) there,  in order to encourage more children to think about the possibilities of a career in engineering.

Whereas an awards nod would usually result in us scanning the internet for gowns and tuxes to wear on the night, like many things, COVID has kiboshed our annual trip to Grosvenor House. However, undeterred, we plan on attending virtually in a couple of months’ time and raising a glass or two without having to worry about the journey home – bonus!
